We are on Vacation!

Hey guys. Time for our reunion is fast approaching, YEAH!! I can't wait to see everyone.
Yesterday Jonas turned 6 months. He is such a big beautiful boy! He spent all day on his 6 month "birthday" Christmas shopping with his mom & mamaw. He was all worn out by the end of the day. But he did great! He was quite the trooper.

I just wanted to let everyone know that since I am on Christmas vacation for the next two weeks that I will not have as easy access to a computer. I will be coming to my parents and borrowing theirs as time permits, but don't think I have abandoned you! :o) I love you all and I pray that everyone has a blessed Christmas time! God Bless!

Our big night out

Good Monday Morning all! We had a good time at Brandon's company Christmas party. For the most part! It was quite the experience. We decided to leave Jonas with my mom. We were scheduled to be back in Lawton by 11pm. And I would wake him up and feed him his last feeding we we got in. (He normally eats around 1o30pm) And we didn't get home until after 2am!!! I was a little frustrated! But thank God he was still peacefully asleep. But I was a little worried, I have to admit! The limo ride to the city and dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse was a lot of fun. THEN, the fun began. There was someone who had a lot too much to drink and started to get crazy. They got mean, trying to fight, and then ran off into Bricktown! And we went up and down the streets trying to find him for hours! I was not happy at that point. Anyway, all turned out OK. He was found, and when I returned home all was well. Thanks to Mamaw for the late night babysitting!!

Brandon also preached this Sunday. He did a great job! We are really proud of him, the whole family is!! He preached a wonderful message on our words. Everything that comes out of our mouths brings either life or death. The bible tells us the power of the tongue over & over. Prov. 18:20-21 says, From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit. It was a wonderful message and a great reminder to watch those things that we speak over ourselves, our families and others! Thanks Brandon for being obiedent to God! We love you and are so proud of you!

Christmas is fast approaching and so is our "class reunion". We are really looking forward to seeing everyone. God Bless! Jesus is the reason for the season!!

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Precious gift from God! Thank you Lord for this incredible blessing that you have bestowed upon us!
Hey guys, it is almost Christmas time! And I am really looking forward to spending time with some friends.
This beautiful boy loves turnips, just thought I would share that with everyone. He eats them like they were fruit, and than has turnip breath & burps all day! Lovely. And for those you who don't know, turnips don't smell so great, a little worse than cabbage. But when they come out of his little mouth they smell wonderful!
So far he loves all fruit, and carrots & turnips are his favorite vegetable. Green beans are definitely not high on his list. Most of the time he gags when I feed him green beans!
Jonas has also started babbling a lot of different sounds! He is really trying to talk. And I'm sure he will be before we know it.
Brandon, husband & daddy, is blessed to be speaking again on Sunday. He will be preaching at Cowboy church just outside of Marlow. I don't remember the proper name for the church, but most just call it Cowboy church. Bro. Rob Stone is the pastor. We are blessed to have met him & his wife Denise Stone! So please remember Brandon in prayer as he prepares to preach for a second time this weekend.
One more thing, Thank You! to Mamaw Jones for taking this picture of Jonas. It is absolutely beautiful. Also thank you Papa & Mamaw Jones for visiting Jonas last night. He told me he was missing his Papa & Mamaw. Love to All! Brandon, Jennifer & Jonas

We are blessed!

We had a great weekend. I cooked up some food for Jonas Friday, took family pictures on Sat., great revival that we attended on Sunday! Good stuff! These are pictures of Jonas playing on Friday! He is sitting up so well now. And this past week he started eating food other than cereal! That is what I was preparing on Friday. I cooked up some carrots, turnips, and mashed up some bananas for him, then froze them in ice cube trays, and popped in ziploc bags for later use. It is very cool. And very easy. And very inexpensive!! It saves a lot of money compared to buying baby food. A bag of frozen green beans is so much cheaper. And healthy too. I found a cool website that helped if anyone is interested.
Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season. It will be over before we know it. I am just excited to share it with Jonas this year! And we are also looking forward to seeing our friends soon!!
Oh, I almost forgot. I have one more big development! Jonas is starting to wave bye, bye. He is just getting the hang of it, barely waving his little hand. Sometimes he just sticks it straight up as if he is being sworn in. It is very cool and exciting. He will have it down in no time!
Be blessed! And continue to focus on Jesus this Christmas season! We love you all.

Daddy, I just wanted to tell you how much I love you! Thank you for all you do and for all you are. I love playing with you and how you make me laugh! Thank you for the godly role model that you are Dad! I am always watching and learning from you. I am going to be a great man of God too! I love to look at you because you look just like me!! And you are the funniest guy I know. I love you so much. When ever I see you, it brightens my day. Thank you for always caring about me and wanting the best for me! And for always making sure I am safe. It was nice that you drove mommy & me to work in the ice & snow so that we wouldn't be out in the bad weather by ourselves! Mommy really appreciated that too, she doesn't like to drive on the ice! Well, I just want you to know how much mommy & me love & appreciate all you do! I love you, Thanks for being my dad!
Daddy's Boy,
Jonas

It's Christmas time! We put the tree up this Thanksgiving weekend! I just have so many cute pictures of this gorgeous baby!! He is about as cute as they come! If I do say so myself. He is beginning to sit up on his own as you can see from one of the pictures. He still slumps forward a little bit, but we are practicing. He has also found out that his feet make great toys! As you can also see from one of the pictures! He is just growing so fast! He is becoming quite a little ham! Everyone we see says what a happy baby he is. He was even flirting with a lady yesterday!!! Giggling, squealing, smiling and putting on quite a show.

Here we have Jonas hitting the 'ol root beer. Just kidding, I promise it was empty and the lid was on, but it was sooooo cute! He got really upset when his daddy took the bottle away from him. So we had to lug that empty bottle around with us to Great Grandma Jones' house on Thanksgiving day. He gets really upset now when he drops a toy or something. As awful as it sounds it is really cute. I guess it is cute because he is getting old enough to really care about stuff and wanting it. Anyway, we are looking forward to Christmas! Even though I still have not started my Christmas shopping. I will probably get started a few days before Christmas, as I do every year! Oh well! I hope you guys don't wait as late as I do! AND, I pray that we don't get caught up in the commercialism of Christmas and remember what we are celebrating! The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! We love you & God bless you!

We had such a blast seeing all of our friends over the Thanksgiving weekend! I am already looking forward to the next time, and of course seeing all who couldn't attend this time!! Here are some great pictures of the fun we had! These babies are precious!

Thank you Beth for letting us use your home for the occasion! And we love all of you guys!! It was great to see everyone and their new additions! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving as we did! And we are now looking forward to Christmas. Give those babies a big kiss from JJ & Jonas!

I hope everyone is doing great and getting ready for the fast approaching holiday season!! Yesterday was quite a day. It was Jonas' 5 month old birthday & his Papa's 50th birthday!! We had a good time eating chocolate cake & homemade ice cream, yum. I took a picture of him & his papa but it doesn't want to upload, we will try again later.

We have another big announcement to make, Jonas slept in his big boy bed for the first time Sunday night. I know, I know, he is 5 months old and just going to his crib. But his bedroom is at the other end of the house. Anyway, It went great. He has stayed the past two nights in there. He just wakes up once around 4 or 4:30 am & I have to go give him his blankie and pacifier to go back to sleep. I am hoping that is something he grows out of quickly! If his dad had his way about it we would just roll his crib into our bedroom!! He isn't too fond of him being so far away either! But we will get over it!! He is doing great, despite his mom & dad! =-)

Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? I have a busy week ahead! We are looking forward to visiting with friends & family!

The tent revival went great last week. It did keep us quite busy though!! Brandon did a terrific job preaching Friday night! We are so proud of daddy! He was even asked to come up and speak Sunday morning at the Cowboy Church where we were visiting. We are looking forward to all the ways that God will be using us in the near future! Thank you everyone that lifted Brandon up in prayer for the message he preached Friday night!

I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and lets remember how much we truly have to be thankful for! God Bless!

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Hello all, happy Thursday!! I hope everyone is having a great day. As you can see I really couldn't decide which pictures to post so I posted them all. This little guy is too cute. I can't get enough of him! I know you all understand! Well, our revival is going great. The wind was terrible here yesterday and blew the tent down, so we relocated last night. But the tent is going back up today so we will be back in it tonight. Last night was amazing. And I can't wait for tonight. Randy Sullivans (my pastor) message was on how very much God loves each of us! We are called to walk in love, but it is hard to do UNLESS we understand the love God has for us and let that love manifest toward others. No matter what we have done or can do God loves us unconditionally! God wants the best for us. Would any of us give our child a lemon if they ask for a apple? Or do anything to harm our children? Our Heavenly Father feels the same way about each one of us, only more so, if you can imagine that. God is in love with you the same way I am in love with my son, and you with yours.
I hope everyone grasp the love of God today. I am so excited for what God is doing each and everyday. I love all of you so much.

Is everyone ready for the Holidays? They have sure snuck up on me and will be here before we know it. Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet? Not I. I am looking forward to sharing Christmas with Jonas this year. It will be special and a lot of fun! Does anyone have any special traditions they plan to start with their kids this year? Or any special memories about Christmas? Is anyone doing any major traveling this season?
Tuesday night one of our friends said it sounds like Jonas is saying Hey. And I said, He is! It is so funny. He is becoming quite the character. His personality is really developing and showing.

I finally got some pictures of Jonas and his Daddy, and one of all of us. We had a good weekend. Just preparing for the revival that starts tonight. Yesterday Brandon had to help put the tent up. We are excited. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Jonas has said his first word!!! He will repeat "Hey" when it is said to him. I should clarify, he will repeat "Hey" when his papa says it to him. It is hilarious! At first we weren't sure if he was saying it, but yesterday he was definatley repeating it back to my dad. And last night he was sitting up by himself for just a little bit. At first it was maybe a minute, but the next time it was 2 or 3 minutes. He is really growing! Here is a cute video of Jonas and his daddy playing Sunday morning before church.

We love ya'll and can't wait to see everyone and their beautiful babies again! Have a good Monday!

Hello All. We just wanted to wish everyone a happy veterans day and hope that you have a good weekend. Just in case I don't make it back to the computer this weekend I wanted to say hey to everyone.

This baby is so cute! = ) Just wanted to share a few more pictures of his face. Sorry he isn't smiling in most of them. Every time I put the camera in front of him he just stares at it! But, I did want to let everyone know that Jonas loves watching the videos of himself. He laughs and talks and then looks at me and smiles, and watches it some more. It is very cute! Oh, and Steph, Jonas loves John Marks videos also! They will be buddies before they ever meet.

Well I had better run, it is time to feed this precious boy! God Bless and talk to everyone again soon! And all you other mothers, keep those pictures coming, I love it!!

We are Blessed and Highly Favored!!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to say hello. We are doing great today. Jonas is eating as I type. He is doing wonderful as usual. He is giving wonderful open mouth wet kisses, gooing and cooing all the time, and making lots of new sounds. He loves to laugh and will even "fake laugh" just to please us! It is so cute. He has slept the past two night from 1030pm or 11pm until 615am!! He woke up once each night but put himself back to sleep, WooHoo! He is getting so big! We started cereal last Wednesday and he is loving it and doing great with it. He eats his cereal in the evening around dinner time. It is quite a sight. Well, we had a great bible study last night. Brandon, my husband, will be preaching one night at a tent revival in Duncan in about a week from now. Pretty exciting. We are expecting great things! And we are looking forward to Thanksgiving. And also the week off I will have from work around then!! YEA! Well, gotta run, have a wonderful day & God Bless!! Psalms 103
